Talad Noi
Talat Noi or Talad Noi is a historic neighbourhood in Bangkok. This was the original Chinatown area when Bangkok formed and now sits on the periphery of the current bustling Bangkok Chinatown. This is also one of my favorite areas in Bangkok to explore. Cool alleys and old building, lots of great coffee shops, street art and so many interesting photo opportunities – whats not to like here.
A few murals not to miss in Talad Noi: the alley way of Trok San Chao Rong Kueak, the Dragon and the Flying Bird. As you wander, you will find more but half the fun of this area is exploring to see what new has popped up.
Talad Noi is easily accessed by the MRT or Ferry.
By MRT
-
- Take the MRT subway to Hua Lamphong Station. Leave by exit no. 2 and walk to Wat Traimit and Chinatown gate.
- Alternatively, take the MRT subway to Hua Lamphong Station. Then take a taxi to either Soi Charoen Krung 22 or the River City Bangkok.
By Ferry
-
- Catch the Chao Phraya orange flag ferry to the Marine Department pier. Alternatively you can also get off at Si Phraya Pier (next to River City). Then take a short walk to Soi Wanit 2 where you can start walking through Talad Noi.

Chaloemla Garden Park (Street Art Park)
Chaloemal Garden Park aka Street Art Park or Graffiti Park originated from the Bukruk Urban Art Festival in 2016. Many of the original murals from that festival have been painted over many times by now but the ever changing murals make it a fun place to explore on a regular bases and it is a favorite for all kinds of photo shoots.
