Walk + Street Art + a cool vibrant neighborhood = a perfect art walk in the center of Bangkok.
To celebrate the 36th anniversary of Chulalongkorn University’s (Chula) Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts school created Chula Art Town – a collective concept to improve the community surrounding the campus.
The addition of the vibrant murals brought the neighborhoods of Suan Luang, Sam Yam, and Siam to life. The project was done in collaboration with the spray paint brand ATM Spray, Urai Panich, a team of street artists and Chula students and professors.
Where to Find the Four Zones of Chula Art Town
- Siam Square and Lido Connect Zone is across from Siam Paragon Mall and can easily be reach from the BTS SIAM. You will find around 30 different murals plus all kinds of shopping and cafes in this area.
- Suan Luang Zone is near Dragon Town and Suanluang Square and contains 6 larger sized murals. This are has seen a lot of changes since 2019 with Dragon Town opening. You will find a great mix of local vibes and new cafes and shops popping up. You can walk here from the National Stadium BTS stop.
- Sam Yam Zone you will find the remaining 11 murals. You can continue walking from the Suan Luang Zone by crossing CU Centenary Park and continue into the Sam Yan neighborhood. You can also walk from the MRT stop Sam Yam.
The Chula Art Town Project transformed under utilised corners into eye-catching scenes by recycling local waste into artwork that led to this area becoming a new tourist attraction in the heart of Bangkok that hipsters and social media junkies can’t miss.

I first explored Chula Art Town back in 2019 when it was first revealed with my neighbor Libby and fellow Blogger Little Wandering Wren. Since that first walk, the neighborhoods have continued to evolve. More cafes, more street art, new apartment buildings – its is such a lively area of Bangkok to explore.
